Where does OosterBay’s seafood come from?
OosterBay puts a lot of pride into sourcing and selecting the best quality seafood available from around the world . With years of experience in the industry as wholesalers we place quality at the forefront.
Why should I order from OosterBay?
Our goal is to offer the freshest seafood at wholesale prices, in other words, providing you with the best possible value.
What is the minimum order?
There is no minimum order but to qualify for free delivery the minimum order is $50 (after promotional discounts)
Can I order in advance?
Yes, you can order in advance. Simply select the desired delivery date from the delivery calendar and we will take care of the rest.
Certain specialty items are not always stocked hence we require lead-time with a deposit paid in order to fulfill your order; these may be seasonal items or items of limited availability.
Through our onlineshop items requiring pre-order are stated clearly. Simply place your pre-order and we will notify you once the item(s) have arrived.
The lead-time required for your pre-order will be indicated in the product description. Lead-times are indicative and it may take longer for the product to arrive.
The delivery time slots are 11AM to 1PM, 1PM to 3PM, 3PM to 5PM and 5PM to 7PM. We deliver everyday of the week from Monday to Sunday including public holidays.
Please call in if you have a rush order and we will try our best to accommodate your wishes.
We don’t envisage this being a common Occurrence, however should a particular product be out–of-stock we would be happy to have a discussion to discuss alternatives, or to offer you a replacement or refund.
What is the deadline for placing an order?
Our online shop is open 24/7 for business and there are no deadlines imposed. However, if you wish to receive your order the next day the latest we advise you to place your order at least 12hrs prior.
What is the delivery charge?
We charge a flat delivery fee of $10 island-wide for orders under $50 in value
If you are unhappy with a specific product for quality reasons, we will gladly exchange or issue a refund. We are committed to putting a 100% guarantee on all product we send out.

All deliveries need to be signed for upon delivery. If you are not home we will call you to receive your instructions. We take the utmost care in ensuring your seafood arrives under optimum freshness.

We deliver our seafood in insulated bags with icepacks to ensure the seafood stays fresh while it is being delivered to you. We also use dedicated delivery persons who have experience in handling perishable products. This ensures your seafood remains temperature controlled and fresh.
If your seafood is too warm when you receive it, do not consume and contact us immediately.
Do I have to return the cooler bag?
No, the cooler bag is yours to keep. However, you are more than welcome to return them so we can recycle them to reduce environmental waste.
How often does your shipment of fresh seafood arrive?
We have multiple shipments weekly. Generally our shipments arrive Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri, depending on the product
We source the majority of our seafood products from the Tsukiji market in Tokyo, Japan but we also import high quality seafood products from Canada, USA, and Spain.
Please place your seafood in the fridge as soon as you receive it. You should consume your chilled seafood within 2 days of receiving it.
If you have received frozen product please store it in the freezer as soon as possible.
To thaw your seafood simply place in the fridge one day before you plan to consume.
Once thawed you should consume your seafood within 2 days.
